The Drammeh Institute,
Inc. supports the development and preservation of the moving image in independent film & video and recorded performances
that provide insights into the culture, art and politics, of populations under-represented in mainstream society.
Our mission is to engage
projects that merge scholarly or ethno-classical traditions, with grassroots interpretations, in a way that is human
to human, as opposed to a human to textbook fashion. We believe this arrangement is best suited to reach us where we live,
as we examine who we are, where we have been, what we hold precious and why.
In addition to facilitating
support for humanities-based projects, we are committed to investing in talent by providing exhibition and distribution opportunities
to moving image makers who expose chronicles about various aspects of culture in society.
Support Activities Include
• Promote interest
in the moving image of independent projects through, exhibitions and new media workshops
